Cobblestone Brands Signs Binding Agreement to Acquire Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac and Cabo Wabo Tequila from Campari Group

Dublin, 29 July 2026 — Cobblestone Brands Limited, one of Ireland’s leading independent premium spirits company, today announced that it has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Bisquit & Dubouché Cognac and Cabo Wabo Tequila from Davide Campari-Milano N.V. for an undisclosed consideration. Closing of the transaction is expected by 31 October 2026.

The transaction marks the most significant milestone in Cobblestone’s history and, on closing, will further bolster the company as an international premium spirits group, with brands spanning Irish whiskey, cognac, tequila, rum and gin, and a commercial presence across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa and Global Travel Retail.

Two Brands with Extraordinary Heritage

Bisquit & Dubouché was founded in 1819 — making it one of the oldest and most storied cognac houses in the world. Over more than two centuries, it has been celebrated for the quality and character of its cognacs. The Château Bisquit estate sits in the heart of the Cognac region. The brand has particular strength in South Africa, one of the world’s most vibrant and fastest-growing cognac markets, as well as an established international footprint across Europe, Asia Pacific and Global Travel Retail.

Cabo Wabo Tequila is one of the original premium lifestyle tequila brands, with a passionate consumer following built over decades across the United States. With distribution across more than 20 states and strong brand recognition in key markets, Cabo Wabo will, on closing, represent a transformational addition to Cobblestone’s US portfolio, immediately establishing the company as a significant and credible player in the world’s most important spirits market.

Building on Strong Foundations

This agreement follows Cobblestone’s transformational purchase of the Knappogue Castle and Clontarf Irish Whiskey brands from Pernod Ricard in 2025.

Since that transaction, Cobblestone has invested significantly in building the commercial and operational infrastructure to support a global portfolio: expanding its US team under President Dennis Carr, establishing distribution partnerships across Asia Pacific and Africa, growing its presence in the Middle East and Global Travel Retail, and strengthening its financial and management capabilities.

Brian Fagan, CEO and founder of Cobblestone Brands, said:

“We have spent the past several years building a best in class route-to-market platform which will allow us to take great, but previously less-priority brands and give them the investment, focus and commercial firepower they deserve. Bisquit & Dubouché and Cabo Wabo are exactly the kind of brands we built this platform for.

“Bisquit is one of France’s great Cognac houses. It has over two hundred years of heritage, an extraordinary Chateau in the heart of Cognac, and a loyal consumer base across multiple international markets. We believe deeply in its potential and we intend to invest in it for the long term.

“Cabo Wabo is a brand that helped change the tequila category. It has authenticity, a remarkable story and a consumer loyalty that most brands never achieve. Bringing it onto our US platform - alongside our existing portfolio – will allow us to transform our ability to service all our distributor and retail partners in America and beyond.

“This is a transformational moment for Cobblestone. We are taking on brands with an extraordinary legacy, at a point where we have a rare opportunity to invest and build. We are excited about what comes next.”
